Week 4 — Repair the breach

Week three was about fighting fair; week four is about what happens after the damage — because even fair-fighting couples wound each other. This week is the mending: reconciliation, confession, covering love, gentle restoration, and the years the locusts ate, returned.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18

God's first gift to marriages is the one we usually use last: reconciliation. He reconciled us to Himself — that is the fact — and then 'gave us' the ministry of reconciliation: the daily work of bringing His children back to each other. You are not inventing repair; you are administering a ministry God already funds. When your marriage needs mending, you are not starting from zero; you are working from a completed reconciliation toward the one still pending.
